Party: Mon 1 June 2015, 4.30 – 6.30pm
An Everyday Party is a surprise party (shhh!) to celebrate those who make a daily journey
through the Bearpit! It's a party that commends their commute and marks a moment in the
day that is usually instantly forgotten. Watch the space steadily fill with the spirit of the
funfair and join Megan to surprise passersby, as she takes us back in time to when the
Bearpit was a place of destination, a trading post and a flurry of excitement.
The party is free and open to all. Just turn up!

Megan Clark-Bagnall is a BV Studio studio holder (M2) and makes work that is accessible,
fun, and humorous and although her projects often seem a little ridiculous, they are made with complete
sincerity. Megan‘s interests include scale and size, the present day, the past and the future, the kitsch and the
mundane. She creates large-scale installations, sensory experiences, almost-performances, events and
happenings. She often makes things by hand, which gives some of her projects a D.I.Y. aesthetic.

BV Studios announces its fifth annual Open Studios and you are warmly invited to the Private View and party at 6pm Friday 24th April. The studios will then be open over Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April from 11am to 5pm.

There are 35 units to explore with over 140 artists and creatives resident in the building, everything from painters, sculptors, designers, photographers, video producers and performing arts! Open Studios is a wonderful opportunity to see behind the usual closed doors and to purchase or commission beautiful art by some of Bristol's finest creatives.

You will be astounded, confounded, stunned and staggered by the quality and variety of work to be seen and enjoyed.

Entry is FREE with a great selection of refreshments available in the foyer!
